Design No. 7079

1908 Wilson & Girod Catalog by William A. RAdford Co.

Foursquare house plans could be found in almost every plan and kit home catalog between 1900 and 1935. All were variations on the same theme: a cube with pyramidal roof, roof dormer, two-story, and either a partial- or full-width front porch. On the inside, the house plan was quartered with living space downstairs and bedrooms and bath upstairs. This plan indulges in a few variations including a den with bay window, and a very large bedroom on the second floor. Stylistically, the broad eaves are Prairie style but the porch columns are Colonial Revival.
