In 1908, when the Radford company published its lumber distributors' catalog, it was clearly exploring some the new directions in residential architecture. The entry in this plan opens into a large reception room. The space flows into the living room, but the adjacent dining room and a bedroom are easily closed off with pocket doors. The fireplace is located in the dining room. The second bedroom opens into the bathroom as well as to a passage to the dining room. The kitchen, pantry, and bathroom are clustered together at the rear of the house.
