The Dutch Colonial Revival model, the Amsterdam, was one of the more attractive Sears kit homes offered in the 1923 catalog. This plan offered a host of built-ins as shown including a "provision receiver" accessible from the rear of the house for tradesmen to deliver groceries, milk, or ice; kitchen cabinetry with bins, storage, and work centers; and a breakfast alcove with a table and benches.
