1923 Sears Roebuck Modern Homes
Sears kit homes aimed at a broad market of home buyers. There was almost literally something for everyone from tiny starter houses to the larger, more well-appointed homes one expects to see in higher-end neighborhoods. The Preston, with four large bedrooms, a sleeping porch, and a generous library-living room, is a traditional Colonial Revival style with a few modern features like the rounded entry and door.
