In 1926, No. 543 would have been a state-of-the-art design. The close eaves, medium roof pitch, clean lines, and light detail make this an early version of what would come to be called Minimal Traditional. Because the side-gabled core of the house is similar to the Cape Cod, some people might refer to this as such. We like to distinguish the true Cape from its Minimal Traditional cousin.
