Though LA is dotted with thousands of small bungalows, it also still has a fair number of grand bungalows with larger footprints and pretensions like the plan shown here. While not a particularly huge house by 21st century American standards, it is distinctive for the variety of materials used. Stone and brick are used on the porch in conjunction with cement copings and porch floor. Interior details include built-in bookcases, mantel, buffet, and beamed ceilings.
