In 1916, Sears found an additional avenue for publicizing their house plans through publisher, Fred T. Hodgson's popular book The Steel Square. This plan, later named the Corona, is a substantial Craftsman-style bungalow with beamed ceilings, four bedrooms, a cozy second floor alcove, sleeping porch, and a kitchen nook. This plan offered the many of the amenities most desired by the home buyer of slightly more than moderate means.
