The Dutch Colonial style home in the Bungalow Book has no exterior bungalow features, however, its floor plan clearly illustrates the room flow and access that mark its character. The rooms are generously proportioned on the main floor and that is carried to the second floor in the large family bedrooms. A smaller maid's room has a direct access to the kitchen via its own staircase. The 34'x10' front porch with its clustered columns and distinctive porch rail is according to Wilson "ample for a camping ground for all the family and half the neighbors."
