1908 Western Home Builder — V. W. Voorhees of Seattle

This type of house, also called a "Seattle Box," is very common to the Pacific Northwest and appears in many older neighborhoods in Seattle and Portland. This plan shows "artistic" craftsman-style details in the rafter tails, but communicates a pronounced box type especially in its façade. Its most distinctive features are the inset front porch and bracketed bump-out window corners. We are particularly smitten with the conservatory and window seat in the living room.
