1908 Western Home Builder — V. W. Voorhees of Seattle

In many respects this plan could be described as an elaborated Foursquare. It is a grand, pretentious home with Classical Revival details, a box shape, and enough mass to demand attention. It's a house that was considered high style and reveals in its plan the socio-economic expectations of its builder. It offers thoughtful hospitality to the visitor in the huge reception hall with its fireplace and shares its only bathroom with the "Girl." The Girl (aka cook or maid) would however have been expected to use the back stairs to the kitchen.
