Design No. 123

1908 Western Home Builder — V. W. Voorhees of Seattle

The Prairie Box was a common variant of the American Foursquare. Design No. 123 is a particularly nice example of the type with its strong horizontal lines, wide eaves, and shallow pitched hipped roof with hipped dormers. The upper balcony was surely designed to take advantage of Seattle's lakes and hills.
