This plan measured 40x40 feet yielding about 1600 sq. ft. of living space—quite a grand home for 1908. With its generous porches and gracefully flared side-gabled roof, it's a beautiful and inviting house. The Jack & Jill bathroom is typical for houses designed during this period, though the obvious disadvantage is that guests needing to use the facilities would have had to pass through the private family quarters. This style of layout was abandoned by 1920. For more Voorhees bungalows, we've published many more at Bungalow Home Style. This plan adheres to much of the best bungalow planning advice of the day.
