1926 Portland Homes Plan Book by Universal Plan Service

The small Revival cottage style houses that were designed for the middle class during the 1920s were often straight out of Grimm's Fairy Tales. Here, clipped gables, stucco exterior, and diamond muntins in the sash (including the small bay window in the dining room) add up to little house with prodigious charm. The location of the bedroom next to the kitchen was probably for cross ventilation because it seems a little odd otherwise.
