Southern Pine Homes
The Southern Pine Association, which was based in New Orleans, Louisiana, was another company that busily tried to carve out its fair share of the residential building market during its lifetime. The Association was established in 1915 and diligently published a number of house plan catalogs as well as other publications that touted the value of using southern pine in home construction. In 1970, the name of the organization was changed to Southern Forest Products Association. It remains today an information resource for construction professionals.
