The Utica

1930 Montgomery Ward

As the 1920s progressed, the bungalow style home lost many of its earlier Craftsman-style features and instead became simplified in ornamentation. The eaves on the Utica are narrower than earlier bungalows even while it retains its large front porch. The plan shows what Montgomery Ward calls a "Pullman kitchen" located in the center of the house instead of the rear. (Notice the odd connection between the bathroom and kitchen?)
