The Piermont
1930 Montgomery Ward
Described in the catalog of Montgomery Ward kit homes as a 1 1/2 story "colonial" then as an English country home, it seems even the copywriters didn't know quite what to call it. That said, we can easily attach the eclectic label to it. The design elements that set it apart include the catslide roof on the entry gable and the paneled door, the traditional windows, and a massive chimney.
Inside, the Piermont sports two bedrooms with a full bath upstairs and a half bath on the main floor adjacent to the third bedroom. A variety of small amenities include a laundry chute and built-ins in the kitchen and bath.
