1916 Journal Bungalows

This bungalow plan is relatively large but has the benefit of having everything on the main floor. A cellar was constructed below with the mechanicals including a state-of-the-art "hot air heating plant." The original building cost was estimated at $3900. The bedrooms are large by the standards of the day and 1.5 bathrooms made it possible for most families to survive in comfort. By reconfiguring some of the interior space, especially the kitchen, it would be possible to make this a very functional home for today.
