Plan 540 is a bungalow in many respects but takes certain economies in its layout from the popular foursquare type. It might be called a semibungalow ... a somewhat mushy and ill-defined term for houses that were larger than the typical one or one-and-a-half-story bungalows. The inglenook in the living room could easily tip the balance in favor of selecting this plan.
