The Dillman is included here not only for its Dutch Colonial appeal, but because it illustrates one approach to adding a covered porch. More common are the hooded entries or flat façades with a Georgian-style pedimented door surround. The extended porch roof with its distinctive flare creates an pleasant outdoor living room and is particularly handsome on this four-bedroom, one-bath home.
