The Chase

1940 Pre-WWII Homes by Gordon Van Tine Co.

The Chase is typical of the many small houses built during the late 1930s and early 40s just before the Second World War. The style is occasionally described as a Cape Cod and it's easy to see the confusion because the shape is so similar. We describe it as a Minimal Traditional cottage because of the distinctive facing gable and light Colonial detail.
