Design B-7473

1918 American Modern Homes by the C. L. Bowes Co.

This house plan is very attractive and from a type standpoint is clearly a Foursquare. The detailing is an interesting combination: a square plan with a cross-gabled roof, purlin/modillions under the eaves, and heavy porch piers, rails and lintel. Stucco siding is used along with shakes. This is a large house with a grand open layout that is typical of many of the homes of this type and period.
