The Tremont

One way savvy homeowners built home equity if they had the means was by investing in a "twin house" or duplex. The Tremont is a side-by-side two-story plan thought by many to be superior to the upper and lower flats where noise could be a nuisance. This model is very similar in appearance to the Foursquare style and would have fit seamlessly into a neighborhood of single family homes.
